Unlike the previously closed network tests, this beta will bring in a lot of fresh content, one of which is the newly-unveiled character, Li Mei. The official Mortal Kombat 1 account has provided a list of what players can expect in the beta:

• Fighters: Players can take control of Liu Kang, Sub-Zero, Kenshi, Kitana, Johnny Cage, and Li Mei.
• Kameos: Players will also have the chance to interact with Kano, Sonya, Jax, and Frost.
• Stages: The beta will feature two distinctive stages – The Teahouse and Johnny Cage’s Mansion.

The announcement follows NetherRealm Studios’ recent presentation at San Diego Comic-Con, where they unveiled special guest characters like Omni-Man, Peacemaker, and Homelander. These additions were confirmed after a leak gave a glimpse of what’s in store for the upcoming fighter.
