Back in 2022, Loewe joined hands for the second time with Studio Ghibli, the legendary animation studio behind some of the most cherished films in the world. Loewe took inspiration from another Ghibli classic, Spirited Away. Known for its dreamlike and fantastical elements, Spirited Away served as the perfect canvas for Loewe’s imaginative approach to fashion.

The capsule collection brings Spirited Away’s enchanting and dreamy world to life in wearable fashion. It features meticulously crafted designs featuring a careful selection of bags, knitwear, and tees with handcrafted details, captivating prints, and intricate embroideries.

When Loewe dropped its capsule with Spirited Away, fans crowded outside the brand’s New York City flagship store, crashed its website, and caused resale prices to skyrocket.

Price range: $500 – $6,500

#3 Levi’s x Princess Mononoke

In addition to Loewe, Levi’s is also engaged in a partnership with Studio Ghibli. Their anime choice for the capsule collection is Princess Mononoke, a timeless masterpiece crafted by the genius mind of Hayao Miyazaki. Drawing inspiration from the deep-rooted connection the film has with nature, Levi’s and Studio Ghibli aim to embody the spirit of Princess Mononoke through their collaborative collection.

This pair of boots was inspired by the classic Japanese anime character ‘Astro Boy’. It is so iconic because it has a really odd shape and large appearance, exactly the same as the boots Astro Boy is wearing in the TV series and video game.

The Big Red Boots are crafted using TPU, which is commonly used for phone cases, rubber, and EVA foam. It has a striking bright tonal red color and ribbed soles with MSCHF branding at the center.

Price range: $350 on its first release, but resell price reached $1,800

#5 Dolce Gabbana x Jujutsu Kaisen

The last one on our Top 5 Coolest Fashion Anime Collaborations is Dolce Gabbana x Jujutsu Kaisen. In Japan, the anime has already collaborated with various brands, from eyewear to snacks, and has even launched a UT collection with Uniqlo. But soon after, it achieved its first high-end fashion collaboration with the prestigious Italian fashion house, Dolce & Gabbana.

Each character from Jujutsu Kaisen showcases an outfit ensemble tailored to their personality. For example, Yuji was seen modeling a black and white sportswear outfit with a pattern resembling Sukuna’s mark. On the other side, Satoru Gojo was seen sporting a cool black leather jacket, boxy sunglasses, and black sneakers.
