“Doona!” is an adaptation of a webtoon titled “The Girl Downstairs.” It was originally a manhwa written and illustrated by Min Song-Ah. The story was later serialized as a webtoon, running from July 17, 2019, to July 13, 2022, on Naver Webtoon. An English version of the manhwa is available on Line Webtoon, and it has also been adapted into a Chinese animated series on Bilibili, and a live-action adaptation series, which is set to premiere soon on Netflix.

Directed by Lee Jung-Hyo, “Doona!” is a captivating love story between Doo-Na and Won-Jun. Doo-na, who is once the main vocalist of a famous girl group, has chosen a life of seclusion after her sudden retirement. When college student Won-jun unexpectedly becomes her roommate, their worlds collide. As their lives frequently intersect, a captivating connection forms, sparking a unique and unexpected attraction between Lee Doo-Na, portrayed by Bae Suzy, and Lee Won-Jun, brought to life by Yang Se-Jong.
